Refund policy

1. Returns & Exchanges

Subject to the rights granted to you under the Australian Consumer Law, Whif offers returns for store credit or exchange under the specific conditions outlined below.

Returns are only eligible on 50ml and 10ml items. We do not accept returns on Fragrance Libraries.

Checkout+ Members

Customers who have opted in to Checkout+ at the time of purchase are eligible for returns for store credit or exchange at no additional cost, subject to the conditions below. To submit a return, please click here.

Standard Customers (Non-Checkout+ Members)

Customers who have not opted in to Checkout+ may still submit a return; however, a $10.95 return fee will be payable prior to processing the return. To submit a return, please click here.

Instant Exchange

When you select Instant Exchange, you will be asked to provide your credit card details at the time of confirming your exchange. Your new item will be dispatched immediately. You then have 7 days from the date of confirmation to return your original item. No charge will be made to your card provided your return is sent back to us within this period. If your original item is not returned within 7 days, your card will be charged for the full value of the replacement order.

Instant Exchange is available to both Checkout+ Members and Standard Customers, subject to the return eligibility conditions outlined above.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

   Items must be 50ml or 10ml products.

   Returns will not be accepted during sale periods or on sale items.

   Fragrance Libraries are not eligible for return under any circumstances.

   No cash refunds are offered for change of mind or differences in personal fragrance preference. Store credit or exchange may still be offered where eligible conditions are met.

   Returns must be initiated within 14 days of receiving your order.

Faulty Products

A faulty product is one with a physical defect that prevents it from functioning as intended. Examples of faults include a broken or cracked bottle, a leaking bottle, or a damaged or non-functioning sprayer mechanism.

Please note: At Whif, we put a lot of care into crafting fragrances that closely capture the spirit of their inspiration. Because we use our own independently developed formulas, our scents are unique creations — and like all fragrances, how they smell and how long they last can vary from person to person based on individual skin chemistry, body temperature, hydration, and other personal factors. If a scent smells a little different on you than you expected, that experience isn't necessarily universal — others may find it a perfect match. For this reason, differences in personal scent perception or longevity do not constitute a product fault. Faults are limited to physical defects such as a broken or cracked bottle, a leaking bottle, or a damaged or non-functioning sprayer — if you experience any of these, we're here to help.

If you believe your product is faulty, please contact us here and our customer service team will assess your enquiry. Faulty products will undergo an inspection by our team and you will be contacted within 3-5 business days advising you of the outcome. If your product is deemed faulty, it will be replaced and your postage costs will be reimbursed. If your product is not deemed faulty, it will be returned to you at your cost.

Undeliverable Parcels

If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failure to collect from the post office, we can re-send it upon request. A postage charge, determined by Whif, will apply. If the customer prefers a refund instead of re-shipping, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount. Please note, initial postage costs are non-refundable if a return is accepted.

 

1A. Bundle Returns & Adjusted Credits

Bundles are priced at a discount based on purchasing the full set. If you return part of a bundle, the items you keep will be repriced at their standard individual retail price, and your store credit will be calculated accordingly.

Example: A 6-item bundle is purchased for $90 (bundle price $15 each). If 3 items are returned and 3 are kept, the 3 kept items will be repriced at $25 each. Your store credit will therefore be $90 - ($25 x 3) = $15. This ensures the bundle discount only applies when the full bundle is retained.

Free Gift Policy: If your order included a free gift, the free gift must be returned along with the returned items. If the free gift is not returned, the full RRP amount of the free gift will be deducted from your store credit. Please note that initial postage costs are non-refundable on returns accepted for store credit, unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

 

2. Australian Consumer Law

In Australia, our goods come with guarantees which cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

If you think there has been a failure of a consumer guarantee, please return your unopened products to our warehouse at the address set out below. You are responsible for associated costs (including delivery) for returning the products to us. If your claim is valid under the Australian Consumer Law, we will refund your return delivery costs. Depending on the failure, we will either dispatch a replacement product to you or refund the product price.
